Music, documents.. there’s more than youtube.
Okay Youtube is a hit. Why? You can see any kind of movie anywhere. It’s a library of files that people want to see. Funny things, shocking things, sexy things, more funny stuff, cool stuff, personal stuff, fail-stuff (funny yet shocking yet… well whatever)… all kinds of stuff. You can actually post vlogs (internetZ at itz bezt.) and whatever video-content you can imagine… that is within their laws.. is findable.
What now if we have these platforms for other types of files? I mean how often do you look at youtube for music? HELLOOO-OOOO… when watching a music video just to listen to the song you know how much bandwith is spent into the video (that you don’t watch anyway…) At least 80%. So you want 2 mb of audio and you get 10 mb of download bandwith. Nice.
So there are other services. Let’s start with Scribd. This one is for documents.

Scribd is a website where you can publish documents. TXT, doc, docx, pdf and all other famous documents are loved by this website. Think of templates (CV, letters etc), poetry, stories, books and a lot more. It’s really nice.
So go to scribd.com and look around! You can read the docs online, or register (in 1 min) and download them to your pc.
But wait, there’s more! If you’re out just to listen to music you’ll bound to like Last.fm and Soundcloud.

Last.fm is a website with lot’s of music. Lot’s of famous and less famous artists from around the globe have an account there. The nicest part is that all the songs are related by genre and preference. So what you can do is play a song and after it have other songs played from the same genre. This way you are bound to find new music that you really like.
Another website is Soundcloud. Here you can add your own musicfiles as easy as adding video to youtube.com. It’s made to upload and share music. You can also embed the music you upload on your own website. What makes soundcloud unique is that it’s based on “moving music” as they say themselves. It’s easy to share and send eachother music. Really nice website, lot’s of music to find and easy to use as a tool if you want to share some music. They also have a short 3 min introduction video on the frontpage. Eventhough it’s a bit “oh look at us being better than other ways of sending music”, it’s still a good introduction about the service.
So as you can see, there are more ways to share music or document.
