Partydrink of the week! #5

Submitted by admin on Thursday, 8 July 2010No Comment

martini_bond_drinkbondmartiniFor the men amongst our readers, here is the drink to consider at any party. The Martini that Schotland Yard’s 007 loves so much. It’s simple, strong and it will make you feel like the coolest guy at the party even without a gun. The drink to consider? Certainly. Go for class, style and a drink that will bring a nice buzz to your evening. Enjoy the James Bond classic: The Martini.

Before you get all excited about ordering it and stylishly saying “shaken, not stirred” I have to warn you: it doesn’t matter how much James Bond you feel but you should stir it nevertheless. The reason for that is that the Martini will otherwise become very watery, and we don’t want that to happen now do we?

INGREDIENTS
Gin or Vodka if you feel James Bond.
Dry Vermouth
Olives or a curled lemon peel and a cocktail stick.

HOW TO MAKE
It’s quite simple, and that makes it so incredibly nice. Anyway pour five parts of Vodka or Gin to one part of dry vermouth into cocktail shaker full of ice. You can also do Vodka AND Gin to go wild, but that’s even for 007 a bit crazy. I suspect 006 likes that since he often dies.  After this pour everything gently in a chilled martini glass. You can finish it off by adding an olive or a curled lemon peel. There are also other ingredients you can add to it like a cherry. However this will make it look a bit more girly. Enjoy!
