Welder K-23

Submitted by on Tuesday, 17 February 20092 Comments

The Welder K-23 is one of those watches that draws attention. And why? Let’s find out.

First of all it’s big, no, it’s huge. Like really huge! It’s an u-boot watch and there’s all reason to it to call it that way.

The Design
Visually it could be a clock from a submarine or an airplane. You know those big clocks in the cockpit of a military vehicle. It’s robust, solid, has botls and you could read it in an instant. Perfect in case you’re under fire and you don’t have the time to focus your eyes too much. Usefull? Well I haven’t been in any warzone for a while but still if you’re drunk it’s quite usefull.

Speaking of drunk, I wouldn’t say it’s the average watch to bring to a house party with too much alcoholics. Simply because this is one of those watches you don’t want to lose. In the Netherlands the streetprice is about 450 euro’s, but sooo worth it! On ebay you can get it around US$400.

There are some replica’s for way cheaper prices, still for the decency and quality of the product I’d buy the real deal. They’re supposed to last 10-15 years at least so in the end the price is OK I guess.

It’s definately¬† a watch to look for. If you like watches and espcially of this size it’s one to look at. The price is high but hey you get quality for it. There’s even a small briefcase included to cary it around with after you got it.

iDreamToBe rating: 9/10.
